Hard Work and Fun in Daisy Class

The students in the Daisy class, better known as the Daisy ladies, have been busy completing their Towards Independence Asdan modules on numeracy, literacy, and multi-sensory experiences.

They take part in musical activities, physio activities, food technology i.e. taking part in the kitchen for baking.

The students respond to different textures, smells and tastes. They take part daily in physical activities e.g. physio, massage, Tac-Pac and other.

In their music activity they will choose their favourite instrument and create their own individual sounds. The students have their own sensory room in class which helps them to regulate themselves and relax, enjoying the variety of sensory lights and relaxing music.

Walk for Pieta House

We had great fun taking part in a walk for pieta house today as part of our amber flag initiative. Everyone went out in the sunshine in their green clothes for Saint Patrick’s day. We had the pleasure of being led by Deirdre on the bag pipes which was a real treat. Thank you to all families who fundraised and donated to this event. We are happy to have raised _____

Santa’s Visit to St. Clare’s

We were so excited to have a very special visitor at St. Clare’s. Santa and Mrs. Clause took some time out of their busy schedule to visit each of the classrooms in school. They enjoyed lots of performances from each class and even gave everyone a christmas present for all of their hard work. It was so good to see them and we wish them all of the best as they prepare for Christmas eve!
