I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice-cream!!
There was great excitement recently when the ice-cream truck came to visit the students and staff of St. Clare’s. With the sun shining down on us, everyone got the chance to order their own ice-cream. As you can see, they were delicious!
We are so proud of all of the students and staff in Primrose class this morning as they were announced the winners of the ‘Teachers Got Talent’ competition on the Colm McGrath Show on Clare FM. All students and staff worked hard to learn and perform ‘A Million Dreams’ using Lámh sign language and did a spectacular job. The students will win a set of jerseys for their efforts and we are sure that many celebrations are to follow. If you missed the video you can check it out below:
We are so proud of all of our learners in Primrose class. We really enjoyed listening to their performance of a million dreams on the Colm McGrath show this morning. If you missed it, don’t worry. You can watch the amazing video here and see how talented our learners are!
Primrose class have some very exciting news. Earlier this week, we had a visit from Colm McGrath from the morning show in Clare FM. We had nominated our amazing teacher Aisling for the ‘Teachers Got Talent’ competition because of all of the singing, signing and musical instruments which she brings into the classroom. It is always a very musical day in Primrose class.
Tune into Clare FM at 08:40 on Friday the 12th of May, to hear us singing ‘A Million Dreams’ from the Greatest Showman. A video of us signing will also be available on the Clare FM social media channels. We really hope that you like our song and that we might win this amazing competition!
Primrose Class organised a busking session for the whole school in conjunction with the Today FM Big Busk for Focus Ireland initiative. Classes came to the hall in small groups to listen to lots of songs and take part in some action songs. We had great fun singing, dancing, signing and playing percussion instruments and raised €165 for Focus Ireland.
We had great fun taking part in a walk for pieta house today as part of our amber flag initiative. Everyone went out in the sunshine in their green clothes for Saint Patrick’s day. We had the pleasure of being led by Deirdre on the bag pipes which was a real treat. Thank you to all families who fundraised and donated to this event. We are happy to have raised €_____
We were so excited to have a very special visitor at St. Clare’s. Santa and Mrs. Clause took some time out of their busy schedule to visit each of the classrooms in school. They enjoyed lots of performances from each class and even gave everyone a christmas present for all of their hard work. It was so good to see them and we wish them all of the best as they prepare for Christmas eve!
