Fond Farewells

Today we say goodbye to two of our amazing staff members.

Mary retires as an SNA after 18 dedicated years of service here in St. Clare’s School. Her warm and caring nature will be greatly missed by staff and students alike. We wish Mary well in her retirement and look forward to her many visits to St. Clare’s.

Sarah has been a fantastic addition to our staff in recent years, most recently with the Jasmine class. Her positive energy and dedication to the children in her care is always greatly admired. We wish her all the best with her travels next year and hope to see her visit soon.

Sports Day!

Viola Class recently held their very exciting sports day. Despite the rain they manage to get active and do a wide range of games and activities. Some favourites included hockey, basketball and throwing games.

Afterwards everyone enjoyed a barbeque, ice-cream and treats with a big dance party to follow.

Caterpillars on Tour

The caterpillar class had an amazing time on their very exciting school tour. Starting off the day with a journey on the bus, all the way to the magical Dennis’ Den. We had so much fun climbing, sliding, running and laughing. We had so much fun that we almost forgot to leave! But that’s not all. On the way home we collected a yummy McDonalds to top it all off. A great day had by all.

Primrose Class Winners of Teachers Got Talent!!!

We are so proud of all of the students and staff in Primrose class this morning as they were announced the winners of the ‘Teachers Got Talent’ competition on the Colm McGrath Show on Clare FM. All students and staff worked hard to learn and perform ‘A Million Dreams’ using Lámh sign language and did a spectacular job. The students will win a set of jerseys for their efforts and we are sure that many celebrations are to follow. If you missed the video you can check it out below:

Jumping Our Way To June!

It was the most entertaining day for the Sunflower Class this school year so far. We went to Jump Lanes in Limerick and not only did we travel like royalty, but we also had the venue all to ourselves. Everyone, all the students and staff jumped all the sillies out and we had the best time ever. This was not the end, however as on our return everyone had a feast eating goodies from McDonald’s. No wonder, we have had a number of requests since, simply asking: ‘Bus and jump?’ It is a serious jump to a new favourite request indeed!
