The polytunnel is an amazing resource for our learners. It provides a space for us to learn outdoors in all weather conditions, as well as providing us with an opportunity to teach some important lifeskills.
Outside of the polytunnel we have a designated sensory play space. This allows our learners to interact with elements of the garden and sensory plants on a busy break. It is also great for a bit of messy play, which our younger learners love!
Inside the polytunnel classes grow a variety of plants including flowers, vegetables and fruits. We learn about all of the things that plants need to grow. We have to water them regularly and make sure that the pesky weeds don’t take over. It is always great fun to explore, sow seeds and eat the fruits of our labour (no pun intended).
