Our canteen has often been called “supermacs” by some of our young learners. It provides a great space for children to interact with people from other classes and use their social skills.
It also forms and integral part of our lifeskills approach for eating in restaurants. The children learn to line up and wait for their food, ask for what they would like, find cutlery to eat with, eat with table manners and clean up their table after themselves. It really helps to prepare them for our trips to local restaurants in Ennis.
Anne is our resident chef extraordinaire. She makes delicious and nutritious dinners that are enjoyed by both staff and students. Ranging from bacon and cabbage to shepherds pie to chips and sausages on a Friday. This is a real treat. We are so grateful to Anne for all of her hard work.
